Course Introduction:
The Certificate IV in Business Administration qualification gives graduates the skills and knowledge to oversee an office, make decisions on administrative matters, and provide supervision and advice to colleagues and subordinates.
CTA also has a number of funded places available for this course, subject to conditions.
Qualification & Recognition:
Upon successful completion of the program, students will be awarded the nationally recognised qualification BSB40507 Certificate IV in Business Administration.
Pre-Requisite:
Students who have not successfully completed Year 12 with passes in both Maths and English or Certificate IV or higher in Australia will be required to sit a literacy and numeracy test. This can be completed through CTA.
Credit Transfer:
If students have already successfully completed units within the qualification, credit can be granted within our program.
Recognition of Prior Learning & Current Competencies:
Competencies gained through other formal study or experience may be acknowledged through a recognition process.
Job Prospects:
Graduates from the course may apply for work in job roles and titles such as medical receptionist, medical records clerk, medical secretary, office manager and personal assistant.
Opportunities for Further Study:
Students achieving this qualification will be eligible to progress to diploma level studies.

Course Length & Delivery:
The program is delivered at your workplace.
The program is conducted in your workplace by a trainer who visits once a month for a period of 12 months and delivers training. Assessment is through a variety of projects, assignments and workplace observation. Support is provided by your trainer and workplace supervisor throughout the program.
Assessment:
Competency is assessed through a combination of assignments, projects, tests and observation.
