CHC30308 & CHC30208 - Certificate III in Home & Community Care and Certificate III in Aged Care - Combined Qualification

Course Introduction: - CTA is offering a dual qualification in:
- CHC30308 Certificate III in Home & Community Care
- CHC30208 Certificate III in Aged Care Work
These are two highly regarded qualifications by employers in the industry, bundled into one course. This combined qualification gives graduates the skills and knowledge to carry out activities related to the maintenance of an individual’s wellbeing through personal care and/or other activities of living.
Qualification & Recognition:
Upon successful completion of the program, students will be awarded the nationally recognised qualifications CHC30308 Certificate III in Home & Community Care as well as CHC30208 Certificate III in Aged Care.
Pre-Requisite:
- Students who have not successfully completed Year 12 with passes in both Maths and English or Certificate III or higher in Australia will be required to sit a literacy and numeracy test. This can be completed through CTA.
- Successful applicants must provide a current Victorian Police Record Check, proof of Australian citizenship, permanent residency or an appropriate visa, and meet vaccination requirements prior to clinical placement.
- Students will require a computer with speakers and broadband internet.
Credit Transfer:
If students have already successfully completed units within the qualification, credit can be granted within our program.
Recognition of Prior Learning & Current Competencies:
Competencies gained through other formal study or experience may be acknowledged through a recognition process.
Job Prospects:
Graduates from the program may apply for work in the Community Care and Aged Care sectors as a personal care attendant, disabled carer or home support worker.
Opportunities for Further Study:
Students achieving this qualification will be eligible to progress to level four studies.
Course Length & Delivery:
The program is delivered either on campus at Care Training Australia or online.
On Campus: The program is conducted two days per week over 16 weeks. Students must also complete 180 hours clinical placement in the workplace.
Online: The online program is self paced with a maximum duration of 18 months. Students must also complete 180 hours of clinical placement in the workplace. Support is provided by a facilitator throughout the program.
Assessment:
Competency is assessed through a combination of assignments, practical work and clinical assessments.
