Course Introduction:
The Certificate IV in Transport & Logistics qualification gives graduates the skills and knowledge to coordinate stock-takes, coordinate freight, organise transport of freight or goods, assess and monitor stock labels and check and evaluate records and documentation. CTA also has a number of funded places available for this course, subject to conditions.
Qualification & Recognition:
Upon successful completion of the program, students will be awarded the nationally recognised qualification Certificate IV in Transport & Logistics TLI40107.
Pre-Requisite:
Students who have not successfully completed Year 12 with passes in both Maths and English or Certificate 3 or higher in Australia will be required to sit a literacy and numeracy test. This can be completed through CTA.
Credit Transfer:
If students have already successfully completed units within the qualification, credit can be granted within our program.
Recognition of Prior Learning & Current Competencies:
Competencies gained through other formal study or experience may be acknowledged through a recognition process.
Job Prospects:
Graduates from the course may apply for work as a Senior Storeman or Warehouse Manager
Traineeships:
Traineeships reduce your course cost significantly and the facility you sign up at can receive up to $4000 from the government as an incentive. To find out if you are eligible for a traineeship please contact VECCI Apprenticeship Services Ph: 1300 365 336. If you are eligible for the traineeship (ATTP) program please request and complete the registration form titled Funded Training Agreement. You will notice that the fees differ in this agreement. This form of training is delivered with Victorian Government Funding. Please remember if you apply for a traineeship you are responsible for finding an organisation or aged care facility to employ you as a trainee.
Course Length & Delivery:
The program is delivered at your workplace.
The program is conducted in your workplace by a trainer who visits once a month for a period of one year and delivers training. Assessment is through a variety of projects, assignments and workplace observation. Support is provided by your trainer and workplace supervisor throughout the program.
Assessment:
Competency is assessed through a combination of assignments, projects and tests.
